[edit] A company/ organization can be labeled "scammer" on this wiki when:

• Unrealistic or even impossible claims/ projections are made.
• Statements are made which clearly indicate a complete misunderstanding of the matter at hand by the author of these statements.
• Publishing brochures and websites using a lot of sounding words and phrases/ quotes without giving factual information, or giving false information altogether.
• Publishing good looking slick websites and brochures using stock-photos from the internet to illustrate subjects or pictures of people which are in fact not captured in the actual photograph. Indicating a weak link to reality of the published materials.

A perfect example is a brochure published by AJP Ventures and Ethical Forestry on their Acacia project. If you read our critique of this brochure, you'll see why we've concluded this to be a scam. If not willingly then by sheer ignorance. Thus the label "scammer".

Never ever put your pension money into a high risk investment like this! Not even if it's not a scam!

We're not a law enforcement agency nor a financial authority or anything alike. If we label something "scammers" or "a scam" we do so by using common sense in comparing a company's statement to serious information on the subjects they make statements about. We try publishing this serious information on this wiki wherever applicable as a comparison. In case a company, or people representing it or working for it, are suspect or have been found guilty of misinformation, misleading the public, scamming or other crimes by official law-enforcement agencies, we will also base our opinion on thise.
