Bosques Naturales/self-description
Bosques Naturales, S.A. is a Spanish company founded in 1996.
The main activity of Bosques Naturales is the promotion and maintenance of sustainable fine hardwood plantations (mainly walnut and cherry trees), which enable the production of these types of woods with an approach that respects the environment.
The company has professional experts who are working in its production process to apply the most innovative cultivation techniques and an efficient methodology that produces top quality crop trees in production cycles of 20 to 25 years, depending on the species and plantation method.
More than 9,000 customers are currently participating in our project and they own 198,808(*) trees.

[edit] An innovative activity
One of our greatest contributions is that, for the first time we have applied agronomical techniques in the production of top quality wood. Therefore, we have managed to greatly increase the results of traditional systems, since the growth of our trees is greater and, therefore, our growth cycles are reduced to more than half of a normal cycle. For example, a walnut tree growing in the wild needs 40 to 50 years to be ready for felling, while a walnut tree in the plantations of Bosques Naturales has a growth cycle between 20 and 25 years.
The productivity of our plantations is also greater because we only work with top quality plant material selected by us.
After planting the trees, we offer our clients the possibility of purchasing them, so that we then commit with the signing of a contract to their cultivation, care and maintenance until they are felled. In addition, Bosques Naturales shall sell the wood generated to the market and deliver 75% to 90% of the product obtained to the customer, in accordance with what is stipulated in the contract.
